As you know, the digital format of the cookbook means readers rely heavily on photos and written descriptions to imagine the magic. That’s why I had to make sure that each drink looked absolutely show-stopping. For example, the Sleeping Beauty Make it Pink, Make it Blue Drink took multiple trials to nail the perfect layered effect. And don’t get me started on the Snow White Poison Apple Drink - this cocktail started as a boring old Apple Martini - but the floating poison apple - while difficult to get just right at first - ended up making the most gorgeous cocktail of the whole nunck. Getting the right balance of sweetness and enchanting look was no small feat.
One of the most rewarding parts of creating this digital cookbook was seeing my husband’s reactions to each meal. He has always been my biggest cheerleader and taste tester.
