Welcome to the Fairytale Foodie

Hi, I’m Heather.

Founder of The Fairytale Foodie, self-taught chef, cocktail-obsessed creative, and a 42-year-old millennial who is absolutely not going to apologize for being obsessed with Disney.

Here is how this whole thing started.

One night my husband Matt and I recreated the spaghetti kiss scene from Lady and the Tramp. Just for fun. Just for us. I filmed it, posted it, and something kind of magical happened. People got it immediately. Like, deeply got it. Because it turns out a LOT of people want to turn their couch into something that feels like a real experience, and nobody was really showing them how to do that.

So I kept going.

What started as one silly romantic dinner turned into a weekly tradition, then a community, then six digital cookbooks, a drink book, a Halloween collection, and somehow a business that has taken over my entire kitchen and most of my brain space. I would not change a single thing.

Today The Fairytale Foodie has grown to over 400k fans across Instagram and Facebook, which still does not feel real if I am being honest. Families, couples, Disney adults, nostalgic millennials, and people who just really want their Tuesday night to feel like something are all here and I am so glad they are.

For a long time I kept myself pretty behind the scenes. The food was the star and I was fine with that. But this year I started showing up differently. Putting my actual face and voice into my content, sharing the stories behind the dinners, and honestly just letting people see how genuinely excited I get about this stuff. It has been terrifying and wonderful and I am not stopping.

There is also something pretty big coming that I am not quite ready to talk about yet. Let's just say it involves some of the most iconic films ever made and it might be the best thing I have ever created. Stay close. 👀
